Summary: This novel goes through the struggles of a fairly stereotypical teenager.  The main character, Kate, is a senior in high school who attempts to balance out all aspects of her life. Although she does have her “Good Kate” side, which is the side of her that takes care of her Pastor father and younger brother, an impressive runner, a loyal girlfriend, and a high academic achiever, she also has another side to her. This other side she calls “Bad Kate” because this is the side that resents having to take care of her family, she forgets about her dead mother, she is promiscuous with her boyfriend, and she only applied to one college (MIT), even though she knows that her father would be mad if he found out. These two different sides of Kate are constantly in her head…
